Have you ever been hell bent on figuring something out or getting something important done only to bump into a brick wall?
I went to Maui for a high school friend's destination wedding and rented a house with several other friends. One morning we all woke up early and walked to a favorite breakfast spot on the ocean, The Gazebo.
A fierce rain downpour and an hour-long line to be seated there dampened the excitement of eating, literally. I was very hungry and wanted a decaf coffee baaad. I began my mission of finding a cup of joe by walking all over the nearby resort. We had walked to the restaurant, so I couldn't hop in the car and drive to the nearest java hut.
As I got soaked from the black cloud above me, I was amazed that I couldn't find a gosh darn coffee yet I had manifested an oceanfront multi-million dollar house at half-price for accommodations. @#$ &!
I noticed I was getting a wee bit irritated so I put myself on a time-out. I walked under an awning to get out of the rain, and then settled my energy down by breathing deeply. Once relaxed, I walked back over to my friend who was holding our place in line.
Then the darnedest thing happened. I noticed a coffee pot three feet to my right for the people waiting in line. I got excited until I thought that it was probably regular rather than my desired decaffeinated. My friend pointed out that there were actually two pots of coffee sitting there.
Duh! How could I have been so blind?
I was so wrapped up in my irritation that I couldn't see that what I wanted was right under my nose. And have you noticed that it happens like that quite frequently? You can be searching high and low for your keys, in a rush, only to find that they were in plain sight the entire time.
And so it goes for all things we desire in business and money. The next step or perfect answer is under your nose. It will be unveiled as soon as you lose the intensity around what you desire.
When you get wound up, put yourself on a time-out. You're only allowed to get up when you've calmed down and let go of figuring it all out or pushing forward. The times when you feel most under the gun is when you will most resist a time out. Do it anyway.
You don't want to chill out so you can immediately get your results. You want to soothe your mental mind because life is too short to be whacked out. Now, of course, you will get your answer soon after, but don't let that be the driving force.

I've learned a lot about abundance through lessons learned in my business. As you've all heard, even if you don't own your own business you need to outsource the tasks that aren't your strength or are time hogs. This allows you to do what you do best and therefore attract more money.
Sometimes it can be a challenge to pay someone else when the money is not flowing as abundantly as you'd like. Why pay someone else when you can do it yourself for free? Because if you continue to always do things to save money you are discounting the fact that you can deliberately create more money by each choice you make.
If you choose to do things in a way that makes you happy you are guaranteed to be more attractive to all things that you desire. Let's make this more real with some examples. For many years I wanted a purifying system on my sink. I finally got one but then sold my house and moved into a rental. Rather than shell out some money to get a new one installed, I decided I'd wait until I bought my next house. I happened to love the house and had no plans of moving anytime soon.
Everyday, I'd fill my Brita pitcher on the sink with water. This process was more of a nuisance then you can imagine. I was waiting two or three times during each fill up for the water to filter to the bottom and make room for me to add more water. On top of that, I'd fill the pitcher several times a day. Do you know how much time and irritation I would've saved if I'd just bought the water filtration system when I moved in?
Now, I'm not advocating buying the very best of everything or outsourcing all sorts of tasks when the money you'd spend is going to cause you heart failure. However, with some solid intentions before you make the choice to go with your heart or your wallet, you can actually blend both and end up with more abundance of time, money and joy!
My mother watches my now eight-month-old son, Lucky, three to four days a week. It's a dream come true because she is one of my dearest friends, she is wildly in love with Lucky, he gets to bond with her and there is no cost. On the flip side, my mom is retired and loves to travel as much as me. When she leaves on long trips that means I have to find childcare. This new expense in my life sparked resistance. I remember getting paid a dollar an hour when I babysat so the price increase activated my "lack" button.
At first I scheduled Lucky's new caregiver only during the hours and days I had appointments, trying to save some cash. I ended up feeling rushed and ultimately more stressed. What was my peace of mind worth? Everything. I decided I would hire her for even more hours than my mom spent here. This would allow me to attract more abundance in the long run and keep me happy in the moment. Since Lucky has been born I work less hours and make more profits than I ever had prior.
Now, for those of you thinking, "Yeah, but Jeanna can afford it." Affording something is a choice. My finances looked very tight on paper at the time. While my income was going up, I also had some massive (at least in my mind ;-) unexpected expenses and a mate who was taking a hard hit in his construction business. It's all about perception and the way that you choose to respond to your situation. I continually made the intention that my profits would continue to go up and all expenses would be paid on time without dipping into my savings. And that intention became my reality every time I chose it. Make it yours.

This Sunday (6/12/2011) we celebrate Pentecost. It was on this day that the events of Acts, Chapter 2 took place almost two millennia ago. It is the day that truly changed the world and saw the birth of the church.
Seven weeks earlier the Son of God had been crucified; He is the Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world. The sky was darkened, there was an earthquake, the veil of the Temple was torn in two and the dead came out of their tombs (Matthew 27:45-53). Three days later the Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead; forever establishing the New Covenant and the age of grace began. Salvation was now possible. Sins would be forgiven and cleansed. Man had been redeemed and could now be reunited with his Creator.
The disciples who had been scattered in Gethsemane had now been reunited. The fear and despair they had experienced at Jesus' crucifixion had been replaced by a victorious hope with His resurrection. The resurrected Christ was teaching them, fellowshipping with them; even eating with them (Luke 24).
They could see the nail scars in His hands and feet. They had watched Thomas thrust his hand into the side of the Savior. Their world had undeniably changed and yet Jesus spoke to them of an even greater change that was about to take place in their lives. It is in these monumental days of history that the Book of Acts begins:
Dear Theophilus:
In my first book I wrote about all the things that Jesus did and taught from the time he began his work until the day he was taken up to heaven. Before he was taken up, he gave instructions by the power of the Holy Spirit to the men he had chosen as his apostles. For forty days after his death he appeared to them many times in ways that proved beyond doubt that he was alive. They saw him, and he talked with them about the Kingdom of God. And when they came together, he gave them this order:
Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift I told you about, the gift my Father promised. John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:1-5)
This is not the first mention Jesus has made of this promised gift from God the Father. One of the greatest promises concerning the power of God in the life of a believer was made in John, chapter 14:
"I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
"If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn't looking for him and doesn't recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you." (John 14:12-17)
The ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ was going to be duplicated in the lives of those who received the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant not only saves our lives from sin and eternity in hell but it brings us back into relationship with God.
Salvation is a work of grace; it is not an achievement of our human efforts. We do not qualify or earn our way into a relationship with God; we repent, believe and surrender our lives to the King of kings. We depend on the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Gospel is not merely a religious philosophy. The Gospel is not a set of theological beliefs and religious ceremonies. The Gospel is the message of redemption that reunites man with God. The Gospel is the message of supernatural relationship. We do not believe for the purpose of believing. We believe so that we might receive the promise; the gift of the Holy Spirit.
And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
Pentecost demonstrated the fulfillment of God's promise of the New Covenant. Pentecost demonstrated the power of the resurrected Christ in the lives of those who believe. Pentecost unveiled a new level of living. The Gospel is not a plea for man to search for God. The Gospel is an invitation for man to accept God's gift of redemption. The Gospel is God offering Himself to us. Pentecost took place as promised in the lives of those who accepted God's great gift.
He came into the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. (John 1:10-13)
There have been thousands of sermons concerning what took place on the day of Pentecost. Most of them can be summarized by saying that God empowered believers to fulfill the Great Commission through the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. The sermon that Peter preached to those who were witnesses to this event had three basic premises; Repent of your sins, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:41 gives us the immediate results of this event: "Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all."
There are places all over the earth where the genuine move of the Holy Spirit is taking place. It is not limited to a style of preaching or praise and worship. It is not limited by race, nationality or economic status. It is not bound by denomination or sect. It is not restricted to a special type of Christian. It is not constrained by the prevailing moral or spiritual climate of the nation. The Holy Spirit is moving where the Gospel is preached by believers who expect God to honor the Word He has given us.
The power of the Gospel is that God is working in and through the lives of those who believe. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit should be the expectation of every believer. The power to live the life of Christ comes from the Holy Spirit in our lives. The power to share and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ comes from the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Christian life does not exist separated from the person and power of the Holy Spirit.
The ministry of the Lord Jesus and the ministry of the New Testament are the standard for each of our lives. There is a lost and hurting world that needs to receive the message and ministry of the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and it is you and I that must answer the call of heaven.
And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed."
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand. And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs. (Mark 16:15-19)
The call of Christ upon our lives is one of submission. If we will submit ourselves to God, He will empower us to live and do what He has called us to do. If the disciples who physically fellowshipped with the risen Christ waited to be "endued with power from on high" we as believers in the twenty-first century should definitely follow their example.
If the preaching of the gospel required the power, presence and manifestation of the Holy Spirit in the first century it is vital today.
"And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
"You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him." (Luke 11:9-13)
God wants to empower you with the Holy Spirit so that your life will be an extension and reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are His body. We are His temple.
Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, and to your children, and even to the Gentiles—all who have been called by the Lord our God." (Acts 2:38-39)
May we each be filled to overflowing with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit so that the world may see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven. Happy Pentecost!

First, Have a Burning Desire.
One of the simplest and most effective pieces of advice in regard to getting what you want is having a burning desire to see it accomplished. People who know exactly what they want meditate on it until it becomes a burning are bound to figure out how to get it eventually. They are more likely to recognize opportunities to pursue the object of their desire when those opportunities arise. But most important, they are quicker to get back up and reapply themselves when they fail, which helps them to leverage even their failures as learning opportunities.
So the first step towards using the Law of Attraction effectively is having a burning desire and a specific goal, whether it be to manifest financial prosperity (with an exact figure in mind), better health (again, with an exact healthy goal or ideal weight) or any other kind of goal which you can turn into a burning desire.
Second, Lifestyle Design and Planning.
The second step to using the Secret to manifest prosperity, health or romance is to begin building your lifestyle around the object of your desire. This means that you do whatever you can to make it the most prevalent thought in your mind. You can use a vision board, meditation, journaling or spoken affirmations. Use whatever you need to create a vividly imagined experience of you already in possession of the object of your desire. Most important, begin developing a specific plan for how you are going to achieve it and get to work on that plan right away, whether you’re ready or not.
As simple as these may sound, the results are to be proof enough once you get started applying these two steps. The more you do this, the more you’ll be convinced of the power practicality of the Law of Attraction.

Many people would like to initiate long-term changes in their lives but do not know how to. Thus, they make decisions that translate into sporadic changes that do not last. Would you like to make such changes permanent? The answer lies in programming your subconscious mind.
Before we go further, just what is the difference between your conscious mind and your subconscious mind? The conscious mind is responsible for your awareness of daily activities - it operates on short-term programming. The subconscious mind is very different - this part of you acts to fulfill quasi-permanent programming for long term purposes.
The content of the subconscious mind are not easy to change. You need to issue a specific command if you want to initiate changes in your subconscious. Without such a specific command, it would be easy to make changes in your subconscious - so easy, in fact, that your subconscious would be swamped with a deluge of new programs to follow, leading to confusion.
How then is it possible to change the content of your subconscious mind? Well, it is possible if you have an emotional commitment to make such changes. You must be enfused with emotion, enthusiasm and energy as you initiate the changes. If you make changes simply because someone else demands it, it is highly unlikely that the changes will be carried out to fulfillment.
Children find it less ardous to change the content of their subconscious since the programming in our subconscious becomes more imprinted as we grow older. The synaptic pathways we continuously rely on stay connected. On the other hand, those we do not rely on as much break apart. Thus, making changes becomes harder as we grow older.
Another reason why children find it easier to change their subconscious mind is that children possess more enthusiastic emotions. Adults generally have less of such enthusiasm which is needed to unlock our subconscious so new programming can be set in place.
Furthermore, it is more likely that the subconscious mind will be tapped when you can feed it with information from your senses of sight, hearing, and feeling, rather than rely on general, abstract verbally expressed goals. This is why advertisements on television try to impart stimuli which can be felt by the viewer: so that an emotional link can be created between the viewer's subconscious and the stimuli on the screen. It is a subtle form of programming.
So the next time you watch and listen to a commercial on the tube, you should be aware that your subconscious is being programmed to want that particular product.

Abundance Mentality
The Abundance Mentality means that there is enough to go around for everybody. There may actually be more than enough or an unlimited supply for all. One may think of it as a glass cup that is overfilling with water.
Having an abundance mentality means that even if one does not know it yet, there are opportunities everywhere. When other people succeed, you are happy for them because their success rubs off of you, making you feel good as well, which in turns will give you a more positive attitude in succeeding.
Imagine having a Scarcity Mentality and going through life wishing everybody who succeeded to drop down a level. What you are really doing is stunting your own growth because essentially, you want everybody else to be on the same level as you due to insecurity that there is only a limited amount of supplies to go around in the world.
But imagine going through life having an Abundance Mentality, meaning that every time someone succeeded, it is an opportunity to learn from them and be at their level. You would constantly see yourself grow and move further and further up the ladder.
As other people earn rewards or get promoted, you congratulate them and this sends off motivation and inspiration for you to be there as well. And when you do get there, other people will genuinely congratulate you too. You guys genuinely congratulate each other and support each other back and forth; creating positive energy that rises to the top. This is a trait of successful people; to be able to help each other out through sharing accomplishments and feel-good energy.
You may come across people who are selfish, but that is no reason to do everything you can to put them back down. At all means, they may have worked harder in their own ways that other people just don't understand. Plus, if you do that, you would only be focusing your energy on putting yourself back down as well and putting yourself back in Scarcity Mentality thinking.
"The Abundance Mentality, on the other hand," as Steven Covey puts it, flows out of a deep inner sense of personal worth and security. It is the paradigm that there is plenty out there and enough to spare for everybody. It results in sharing of prestige, of recognition, of profits, of decision making. It opens possibilities, options, alternative, and creativity."
This certainly applies to money. The belief that there is so much money in the world to go around applies to people with Scarcity Mentality or Abundance Mentality. When it comes to money, most people in the world have think scarcity. You can see this with money-stingy people. This, however, is natural because our society is conditioned to think money is hard to earn.
People think that having a well secured annual six-figure job is would be considered "abundant," when having a seven-figure job is not out of the picture and is closer to the word abundance, as it means "over." Having six-figure a year would not be way too "over" the average annual salary. But in order to achieve this type of wealth, one must think that there is a lot of it, not a little bit of it.
In conclusion, it may be to anybody's advantage think abundantly. It may be hard when you see someone else achieve something that you don't have, but remember there is enough to go around and if you continue to work at it, you'll see things come around to you. So, try your best to remember that if you have a Scarcity Mentality, then you will most likely achieve scarcity, but if you have an Abundance Mentality, you will most likely be headed towards abundances.

Most people would agree that they desire financial abundance. It may mean the freedom to pursue a passion or hobby, never having to work again or more time and freedom. First identify what it means to you and next maintain consistency and focus in meeting those goals. Not just a few random actions from time to time. In order for you to be consistent in all your endeavors, you must first identify what it takes to be successful. Then be aware of what needs to be changed in you and your lifestyle.
Identify the areas in which you need extra support to achieve abundance. Learn all the ways to align yourself with the Universe and the abundance it has to give. When you identify them ask and live your life as if you already have the abundance you seek. You will receive what you want from the Universe.
Think of the things you do when trying to keep healthy: first you make a conscious decision to change, you identify your goal, seek support in the form of experts, you eat healthier food and exercise more. In other words, you plan and invest your energy on succeeding.
The same holds true with financial abundance. What you need is support. Achieving your goals is fine, but not enough. The reward of achieving your goals is the path of getting there, itself, and this journey gets more exciting once we have someone with us, to support us all the way through. So, let us see what kind of support will be helpful in achieving financial abundance and growth: Read as much as you can on the subject and dwell on those ideas that have resonate with you. Look for a friend that is also set on achieving financial abundance; hire an abundance coach who can support you in your endeavors; visit workshops or seminars on financial abundance or use other techniques that you have used as support in your life, and that have worked in the past.
Always keep in mind that financial abundance is actually an entire process, and less of a result or destination. You will gradually discover that by integrating in your life the concept of abundance, this will help you align yourself with the abundance the Universe has to give to all of us.
It does not matter where or when you choose to begin this process; what matters is that you have the necessary awareness although the journey meaning spotting the areas where you need support to access the abundance in your life.
Whatever those areas may be, remember that positive thinking is the cornerstone that helps focus all your beliefs and energies into achieving abundance. By clearing your mind of the unnecessary overload produced by a negative or pessimistic attitude, and by placing positive thinking first, you can get the required determination and discipline to help you in your quest for financial success.
Research speaks very clearly: people who use positive thinking are more likely to become wealthy and achieve abundance. So, be resilient to disappointments or barriers that come your way and think positive! Your future will be filled with financial abundance.

The name H0 is derived from the fact that its 1:87 scale is approximately half that of 0 (zero) scale, hence H0. 0 scale in turn was named following the older and larger 1, 2, and 3 scales. The term H0 is pronounced ("aitch-oh" -- that is, the letters "h" and "o"), not "ho" nor "aitch-zero".
H0 scale trains first appeared in the United Kingdom in the 1930s, originally as an alternative to 00 gauge, but could not make commercial headway against the established 00 gauge. However, it became very popular in the United States, where it took off in the late 1950s after interest in model railroads as toys began to decline and more emphasis began to be placed on realism in response to hobbyist demand. While H0 scale is by nature more delicate than 0 scale, its smaller size allows modelers to fit more details and more scale miles into a comparable area.
In the 1960s, as H0 scale began to overtake 0 scale in popularity, even the stalwarts of other sizes, including Gilbert (makers of American Flyer) and Lionel Corporation began manufacturing H0 trains.
Currently, H0 is the most popular model railroad scale in both continental Europe and North America, whereas 00 gauge is still dominant in Britain.
There are some modelers in Great Britain who use H0 gauge. For them, the British 1:87 Scale Society was formed in 1994; it publishes a quarterly journal with news, views, and practical advice for modelers and collectors.
Today, H0 locomotives, rolling stock (cars or carriages), buildings, and scenery are available from a large number of manufacturers in a variety of price brackets.
Controls
Modern H0 trains run on two-rail track, which is powered by direct current (varying the voltage applied to the rails to change the speed, and polarity to change direction), or by Digital Command Control (sending digital commands to a decoder in each locomotive). Some trains, most notably by Mrklin of Germany, run on alternating current, supplied by a "third rail" consisting of small bumps on each tie down the center of the track.
On simple, usually temporary layouts, power is supplied by a power pack consisting of a transformer and rectifier, a rheostat or potentiometer for regulating voltage supplied to the track (and thus train speed), and a switch to control train direction double pole, double throw slide or toggle switch wired to reverse the polarity on the rails. On permanent layouts, multiple power supplies are traditionally used, with the trackage divided into electrically isolated sections called blocks; toggle or rotary switches (sometimes relays) are used to select which power supply controlled the train in a particular block. With the advent of digital command control, block divisions are largely eliminated, as the computerized controllers can control any train anywhere on the track at any time, with minor limitations.
Gauge
H0 scale has several gauges representing both standard and narrow gauges in roughly 1:87 scale. Standards are defined by the NMRA (in North America) and the NEM (in Continental Europe). While the standards are in practice interchangeable, they are not strictly identical.

Trackage
The earliest track available was "sectional track," available in a variety of standardized lengths, such as the ubiquitous 9" straight and curved tracks of 15", 18", and 22" radii. These are representative of curves as tight as 108feet (33m), which in the real world would only be found on some industrial spurs and light rail systems. With the introduction of "flex track," which can be bent to any desired shape (within reason), it became possible to create railroads with broader curves, and with them more accurate models. Today it is common to purchase six-axle diesels and full-length passenger cars which will not run properly on curves less than 24" in radius.
H0 scale track was originally manufactured with brass rail on plastic tie. Over time, track made of nickel-silver alloy became more common due to its superior resistance to corrosion. Today, almost all H0 scale track is of nickel silver, although Bachmann was up until quite recently manufacturing steel track.
In America, Atlas gained an early lead in track manufacturing, and their sectional, flex, and turnout track dominates the US market. In the UK, Peco's line of flex track and "Electrofrog" (powered frog) and "Insulfrog" (insulated frog) turnouts are more common. Both Atlas, Bachmann, and Life-Like all manufacture inexpensive, snap-together track with integral roadbed. Kato also manufactures a full line of "HO Unitrack," however it has not yet caught on as their N scale Unitrack has.
Rail height is measured in thousandths of an inch; "Code 83" track has a rail which is .083" high. As H0's commonly-available rail sizes, especially the popular "Code 100", are somewhat large (representative of extremely heavily-trafficked lines), many modelers opt for hand-laid finescale track with individually-laid wooden sleepers/crossties and rails secured by very small railroad spikes.
In Australia, many club-owned layouts employ Code 100 track so that club members can also run OO-scale models and older rolling stock with coarse (deep) wheel flanges
Availability
Because of the scale's popularity, a huge array of models, kits and supplies are manufactured. The annual H0 scale catalog by Wm. K. Walthers, North America's largest model railroad supplier, lists more than 1,000 pages of products in that scale alone. Models are generally available in three varieties:
Ready-to-Run models are fully ready for use right out of the box. Generally this means couplers, trucks, and other integral parts are installed at the factory, although some super detailing parts may still need to be attached.
Shake-the-Box kits are simple, easy-to-assemble kits; a freight car might include a one-piece body, a chassis, trucks, couplers, and a counterweight, while a structure kit might include walls, windows, doors, and glazing.
Craftsman Kits require a much higher level of skill to assemble and can include several hundreds of parts.
In addition to these kits, numerous manufacturers sell individual supplies for super detailing, scratch building, and kitbashing.
Quality varies extremely. Toylike, ready-to-run trains using plastic molds which are well over 50 years old are still sold; on the other side are highly-detailed limited-edition locomotive models made of brass by companies based in Japan and South Korea. A popular locomotive such as the F7/F9 may be available in thirty different versions with prices ranging from twenty to several thousand dollars or euros.
Advantages compared to other scales
H0 scale's popularity lies somewhat in its middle-of-the-road status. It is large enough to accommodate a great deal of detail in finer models, more so than the smaller N and Z scales, and can also be easily handled by children without as much fear of swallowing small parts. Models are usually less expensive than the smaller scales because of more exacting manufacturing process in N and Z, and also less expensive than S, 0 and G scales because of the smaller amount of material; the larger audience and the resultant economy of scale also drives H0 prices down. The size lends itself to elaborate track plans in a reasonable amount of room space, not as much as N but considerably more than S or 0. In short, H0 scale provides the balance between the detail of larger scales and the lower space requirements of smaller scales.
H0 in other hobbies and in marketing usage
In other hobbies, the term H0 is often used more loosely than in railroad modeling. In slot car racing, H0 does not denote a precise scale of car, but a general size of track on which the cars can range from 1:87 to approximately 1:64 scale. Small plastic model soldiers are often popularly referred to as H0 size if they are close to an inch in height, though the actual scale is usually 1:76 or 1:72.
Even in model railroading, the term HO can be stretched. The name H0 is derived from the fact that its 1:87 scale is approximately half that of 0 (zero) scale, hence H0. 0 scale in turn was named following the older and larger 1, 2, and 3 scales. The term H0 is pronounced ("aitch-oh" -- that is, the letters "h" and "o"), not "ho" nor "aitch-zero".
H0 scale trains first appeared in the United Kingdom in the 1930s, originally as an alternative to 00 gauge, but could not make commercial headway against the established 00 gauge. However, it became very popular in the United States, where it took off in the late 1950s after interest in model railroads as toys began to decline and more emphasis began to be placed on realism in response to hobbyist demand. While H0 scale is by nature more delicate than 0 scale, its smaller size allows modelers to fit more details and more scale miles into a comparable area.
In the 1960s, as H0 scale began to overtake 0 scale in popularity, even the stalwarts of other sizes, including Gilbert (makers of American Flyer) and Lionel Corporation began manufacturing H0 trains.
Currently, H0 is the most popular model railroad scale in both continental Europe and North America, whereas 00 gauge is still dominant in Britain.
There are some modelers in Great Britain who use H0 gauge. For them, the British 1:87 Scale Society was formed in 1994; it publishes a quarterly journal with news, views, and practical advice for modelers and collectors.
Today, H0 locomotives, rolling stock (cars or carriages), buildings, and scenery are available from a large number of manufacturers in a variety of price brackets.
Controls
Modern H0 trains run on two-rail track, which is powered by direct current (varying the voltage applied to the rails to change the speed, and polarity to change direction), or by Digital Command Control (sending digital commands to a decoder in each locomotive). Some trains, most notably by Mrklin of Germany, run on alternating current, supplied by a "third rail" consisting of small bumps on each tie down the center of the track.
On simple, usually temporary layouts, power is supplied by a power pack consisting of a transformer and rectifier, a rheostat or potentiometer for regulating voltage supplied to the track (and thus train speed), and a switch to control train direction double pole, double throw slide or toggle switch wired to reverse the polarity on the rails. On permanent layouts, multiple power supplies are traditionally used, with the trackage divided into electrically isolated sections called blocks; toggle or rotary switches (sometimes relays) are used to select which power supply controlled the train in a particular block. With the advent of digital command control, block divisions are largely eliminated, as the computerized controllers can control any train anywhere on the track at any time, with minor limitations.
Gauge
H0 scale has several gauges representing both standard and narrow gauges in roughly 1:87 scale. Standards are defined by the NMRA (in North America) and the NEM (in Continental Europe). While the standards are in practice interchangeable, they are not strictly identical.

Trackage
The earliest track available was "sectional track," available in a variety of standardized lengths, such as the ubiquitous 9" straight and curved tracks of 15", 18", and 22" radii. These are representative of curves as tight as 108feet (33m), which in the real world would only be found on some industrial spurs and light rail systems. With the introduction of "flex track," which can be bent to any desired shape (within reason), it became possible to create railroads with broader curves, and with them more accurate models. Today it is common to purchase six-axle diesels and full-length passenger cars which will not run properly on curves less than 24" in radius.
H0 scale track was originally manufactured with brass rail on plastic tie. Over time, track made of nickel-silver alloy became more common due to its superior resistance to corrosion. Today, almost all H0 scale track is of nickel silver, although Bachmann was up until quite recently manufacturing steel track.
In America, Atlas gained an early lead in track manufacturing, and their sectional, flex, and turnout track dominates the US market. In the UK, Peco's line of flex track and "Electrofrog" (powered frog) and "Insulfrog" (insulated frog) turnouts are more common. Both Atlas, Bachmann, and Life-Like all manufacture inexpensive, snap-together track with integral roadbed. Kato also manufactures a full line of "HO Unitrack," however it has not yet caught on as their N scale Unitrack has.
Rail height is measured in thousandths of an inch; "Code 83" track has a rail which is .083" high. As H0's commonly-available rail sizes, especially the popular "Code 100", are somewhat large (representative of extremely heavily-trafficked lines), many modelers opt for hand-laid finescale track with individually-laid wooden sleepers/crossties and rails secured by very small railroad spikes.
In Australia, many club-owned layouts employ Code 100 track so that club members can also run OO-scale models and older rolling stock with coarse (deep) wheel flanges

Investors with hopes of tackling the real estate market and making a profit are often deterred by the reality of not having enough money to invest or even a not do flattering credit rating. The current market which saturated with homes and properties in one state of foreclosure or another offers the perfect opportunity for such investors. Some skeptics may not believe that it is possible to make a profitable real estate investment with very little or no money out of pocket, but it is true.
There are a variety of methods that one can incorporate in order to fund a deal, and even though they may not be considered very traditional, they can be a means to an end in closing a deal. One such method of creative financing is and "Equity Split." Splitting the equity between the buyer and the seller has much to offer when financing an investment and it is a relatively uncomplicated process. It is pretty much a fifty-fifty percent split and a win-win situation for both of the parties involved. One of the advantages to both the buyer and the seller is that each is allowed to maintain fifty percent of the property and therefore, both continue to claim ownership of the property.
In addition, both the seller and the potential buyer now have a legitimately sanctioned vested interest in the property and this tends to result in both parties taking better care of the property. Duties such as necessary general upkeep, repair, and maintenance which may have been the sole responsibility of the seller are usually assumed by the now owner occupant of the property.
This type of agreement is also beneficial to builders who do not wish to sell to investors but are willing to consider a partnership with the occupant. Since the owner/occupant is technically part owner of the home or property, builders may be more willing to negotiate with them in a variety of scenarios.
From the buyer's perspective, the fact that he/she has probably initially made a commitment to live in the house offers a certain sense of stability. The potential buyer has probably grown accustomed to the house and has also established a level of comfort to the environment he/she has chosen to live in. As an occupant and future homeowner, it is very likely that he/she be more willing to agree to purchase the property for your original asking price without the inclusion of selling costs.
Among the before mentioned beneficial attributes of splitting the equity, for the seller, there is also the possibility of attaining a high return on the initial investment, if a seller decides to put up the down payment amount for the purchase of equity shares. As for the buyer, the overall cost of sale is often lower as there are typically no other extra fees involved.
Overall, sharing the equity of a real estate property has the potential to benefit both the buyer and the seller. Ultimately, the relationship established between the buyer and the seller will not only lead to a comfortable and smooth transition between owners, but also will build a foundation for numerous potential deals.
